Supplements: Letter from Dr Hahns Family Estate: This house and the accompanying gardens are not typical, it was all designed and constructed with care by my father, a true Alaskan "Renaissance Man" who was born in Point Barrow and grew up in Nome. The story of the house begins in Washington State, in the early 90's. Our family farm in the Snoqualmie valley experienced a powerful windstorm which knocked down several enormous second-growth Douglas Fir trees. My father was a passionate gardener, and every flower he planted was carefully selected.
